Eleanor Catton heeft met The Luminaries de Man Booker Prize 2013 gewonnen. Dat is zojuist bekendgemaakt. Catton is de jongste winares van de Booker Prize ooit. De jury koos The Luminaries uit 151 titels. De vijf andere titels die de shortlist hebben gehaald zijn:
