I’ve been holding into these emotions for a few days now and I just have to say: I hope Hilary Mantel Zoom crashes the booker ceremony and just takes a gigantic shit for the sheer fucking disrespect

Booker prize went bonkers earlier this year when it got rid of @Baroness_Nichol because of her sensible views on women. Now it has failed to shortlist @hilarymantel for the most amazing book I have read this year #MirrorAndTheLight. What does it have against women?

the number of folks handwringing around the internet about hilary mantel… like y'all, she's hilary fuckin mantel, she's gonna be absolutely fine

Since she wasn’t shortlisted, Hilary Mantel won’t get a 3rd Booker Prize in a row for The Mirror & the Light. No loss, as the Wolf Hall series puts the past into a breathing, throbbing, living present. A perfect trilogy from page 1 (TM&TL closes as a bookend with the first page) pic.twitter.com/E5HW9A6iI2

Hilary Mantel becomes the latest victim of political correctness as the final book in her trilogy fails. If books 1 & 2 were worthy how on earth can the 3rd fail to make the shortlist. #Bookerprize

I'm just a little annoyed. Every report I read about the Booker shortlist is lamenting Hilary Mantel being passed over for book 3 like she was entitled to it after wins 1 and 2 for books in the same series. Give me a break.

I’ve read no fiction better than #themirrorandthelight this year. Surprised it’s not on the shortlist. But then I realise I haven’t read anything on the shortlist.

So disappointed the great novel on Thomas Cromwell 'The Mirror and the Light' by British author Hilary Mantel failed to make the Booker Prize shortlist
