Maar liefst €100.000,- is er weggelegd voor de winnaar van de International IMPAC DUBLIN Literary Award, de prijs die Gerbrand Bakker in 2010 won voor de vertaling van Boven is het stil. De shortlist is samengesteld uit een longlist van 147 titels, die weer is samengesteld door openbare bibliotheken.
